Our sincere appreciation goes to those of you who have contributed to and passed on news of our LaunchUMD campaign to support digitizing specimens in the Norton-Brown Herbarium. We are excited about what we will be able to accomplish with the support we have received so far. With this funding we will be able to continue taking high resolution images of specimens in the collection, digitizing the label information, and adding the specimens to the online database and enhancing the Maryland Plant Atlas. These online resources make data from the herbarium available to researchers worldwide and to anyone interested in plants of the Maryland and the Mid-Atlantic region.
