The Walsh lab conducts research in sustainable fruit production and extension programs in the food safety of fresh fruits and vegetables.
The program has received a variety of grant support during the past decade. Much of this support has come from the US Department of Agriculture in the Specialty Crop Research Initiative (SCRI) and also the Specialty Crop Block Grant program (SCBG) with funding awarded to the Maryland Department of Agriculture.
