Seminar Speaker: Robert Ryan, Univ. of Massachusetts, Amherst visited PSLA
Last week PSLA hosted Dr. Robert Ryan from the University of Massachusetts Amherst for an engaging discussion on how to achieve green equity in urban areas. Dr. Ryan’s research combines sociology, ecology and landscape design to investigate and understand the motivation behind the public’s preference in green space allocation and utilization. Specifically, Dr. Ryan’s group hopes to elucidate which features of a landscape contributes to long term stewardship and enjoyment, in an effort to inform local policy and current efforts in urban greening.
