Alfalfa Harvest

February 16, 2016

Joe Crank, a senior undergraduate Agriculture Science and Technology student, was recently awarded the Dr. James R. Miller scholarship by the Maryland Crop Improvement Association.  This scholarship is given to an outstanding graduate or undergraduate student with a strong interest in crop or soil science.  Because this scholarship comes directly from the farmers and seed processors of the state of Maryland, it is considered to be a distinguished award.

Joe has a background in applied crop science that comes from working on his family farm as well as focusing his coursework on agronomic crop production.  Overall, because of the effort that Joe has put into his agronomy education, both in and outside of the classroom, he is well deserving of this award.
