Please welcome Dr. Melissa L. Welsh, who will join the Department as an Assistant Clinical Professor in Agricultural Education on February 1, 2018. Dr. Welsh comes to us after three years in University of Maryland Extension as an Agent/Educator in Caroline County. She has an extensive agricultural education background in Pennsylvania and Maryland, including Pre-K-12, higher ed institutions as well as peer education and evaluation. Melissa has been an active mentor and guide to Masters and PhD students. Dr. Welsh’s aspiration is “…applying research findings to understand and positively develop future educators.” Dr. Welsh received her PhD in Youth Development and Agricultural Education from Purdue University.
